Children born of this marriage: James, who studied for the ministry, and died at the age of twentythree years; Elizabeth; David, Jr., see forward; Margaret, was graduated from Wilmington College, and died at the age of twenty-seven years; Rev. Wesley C, a minister whose pastorate was in Philadelphia, now deceased; Rev. Silas Benson, deceased ; Emeline, married the Rev. T. M. Griffith; two others, who died in infancy.
